If you’ve never been to treatment, some of these things might not sound so great; but I’ll be honest and say I am grateful for everything that happened in treatment. Of course, at times I hated being in treatment and definitely rebelled against the rules but overall it was a wonderful, life-changing experience. I learned so much about myself and created friendships that I could never forget.

When you’re in treatment, you do different activities and are constantly with the other clients so it gives you a chance to bond and create relationships with each other. Not having access to technology really helps you focus on you and your issues and stay away from the outside world’s problems. Getting into a rehab romance is a terrible idea and pretty much always ends badly; can’t say I didn’t have my own little rehab crush but I highly recommend not getting involved with someone who is clearly just as sick as you are!

They have you do chores so you can learn to be responsible again and how to be a functioning member of society. It sounds stupid but making your bed every day is actually a very productive way to start the day. Whenever we were taken to meetings, it was like a night out and everyone usually got dressed nice and made sure they looked okay. Everything about the experience in treatment is so worth it and if you are struggling with this disease, I highly suggest looking into treatment options. Where do calls go?

Calls to numbers on a specific treatment center listing will be routed to that treatment center. Additional calls will also be forwarded and returned by a quality treatment center within the USA.

Calls to any general helpline (non-facility specific 1-8XX numbers) for your visit will be answered by a licensed drug and alcohol rehab facility, a paid advertiser on PalmPartners.com.

All calls are private and confidential.
